The LDS Church never prohibited Coca-Cola

They have published statements to that several times in Church magazines and press releases.

What they had was a lot of members, deciding for themselves, that Coke was bad, and passing that decision off as doctrine. And if they were in a position of authority, using their personal decision, to make policy decisions that affect others.

There is a lot of that kind of behavior in that and other churches
